There are a few teams that come to mind more than the Canton Bulldogs when one thinks about the early stages of professional football. Their story is quite a complicated tale, and we think we may have some answers for you in this edition of your daily football history fix, along with the very roots of the NFL and legends of the game, including other teams that wanted to join the early NFL, including the Dayton Triangles, Cleveland Indians, and Akron Pros, among others.
