April 15, 1963, was a pivotal moment in New York Jets history. The team not only changed its nickname from the Titans to the Jets, but also revised the overall color scheme associated with the franchise to the green and white we recognize today.
They also hired a new coach to lead their players on the field, NFL veteran head coach, Weeb Ewbank.
