August 22, 1956 – Wes Chandler, a wideout for the Florida Gators, was born. In 2015, Chandler was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. [NFF]
Wes also made it to the NFL, playing for the San Diego Chargers, and was a standout receiver, holding the 12th-most receiving yards of all time at the time of his retirement.
