College Career
Attending the University of Georgia from 1996 to 1998, Bailey established himself as one of college football’s ultimate multi-threat players. He starred on defense, offense, and special teams. In his spectacular 1998 junior season, he logged 957 plays across all three phases, registering 52 tackles and 3 interceptions on defense while catching 47 passes for 744 yards and 5 touchdowns on offense. This unparalleled versatility earned him consensus first-team All-American honors and the prestigious Bronko Nagurski Trophy as the nation’s top defensive player.
Road to the Pro Game
Bailey’s extraordinary athleticism made him a prized prospect for the next level. The Washington Redskins selected him seventh overall in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft.
