Born October 28, 1972, in San Diego, California, was former Long Beach State and Georgia Bulldogs running back Terrell Davis. Davis was drafted by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He didn't see much playing time in his rookie season, but he broke out in 1996, rushing for 1,533 yards and 13 touchdowns. Davis continued to improve in 1997, rushing for 1,750 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also helped the Broncos win Super Bowl XXXII, and he was named the Super Bowl MVP. Davis had his best season in 1998, when he rushed for 2,008 yards and 21 touchdowns. He became only the fourth player in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season. Davis also helped the Broncos win Super Bowl XXXIII, and he was named the first-team All-Pro. Davis' career was derailed by injuries after the 1998 season. He suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in 1999, and he missed most of the 2000 season. Davis tried to make a comeback in 2001, but he was unable to stay healthy. He retired from the NFL after the 2001 season. Davis finished his career with 7,607 rushing yards and 60 rushing touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
