The Mississippi State Bulldogs football program began play in 1893 and has competed in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) since 1933.
The Bulldogs' most successful era came under head coach Bob Tyler, who led the team from 1935 to 1941. During his tenure, Tyler led the Bulldogs to three SEC championships.
