Champ Helps His Four Legged Friends Out

Hail to this Chief, and bow wow too!

Not long after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, one of the champ players endeared himself to the fans of KC for a fantastic play he did off of the field.

Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi took it upon himself to celebrate his team’s Super Bowl win by paying the adoption fees for all of the displaced pets at the KC Pet Project in Kansas City , Missouri. Thanks to Mr. Nnadi’s generous action over 70 homeless animals found their forever homes with thankful families in the KC area. Within a couple days of his offer to foot the bill the entire kennel at KC Pet Project was empty!

Normally adoption fees at the shelter are in the area of $150 each so this large man with an even larger heart was very generous indeed! Nnadi had upped his own earlier regular season efforts. At the beginning of the Chief’s 2019 season he vowed to donate the adoption fee for one pet after each KC victory. That win total reached 15 games and he delivered on his promise and then topped it off with the SuperBowl bonus fee round.

Nnadi in his second season with KC had a great season on the field too. The 6’ - 1” DT who hails from Virginia Beach, VA and attended Florida State was in on 48 tackles , had one sack and even registered an interception against the Chargers in their November 2019 tilt.

Derrick Nnadi with your philanthropy you now have many, many more fans and some of them have four legs!
