October 27, 1906 - What is believed to be by many as the very first documented pass completion in a professional football game came when George Peggy Parratt of the Massillon Tigers threw a completion to Dan Bullet Riley in a victory over a team that was comprised of a combined mix of Benwood players and Moundsville players. Now our friend Gregg Ficery has written back in 2020 that there may have been a forward pass a few weeks earlier than this in a game filled with Benwood-only players. In the PFRA's Coffin Corner Magazine Volume 41 Number 6, Gregg writes, that an unknown player from the Franklin Athletic Club of Ohio threw a documented pass (written about in two Ohio Newspapers) on October 14, 1906.  This may indeed change the claim of Pegg Parratt being the first, but for now, we will note this as one of the first Pro Forward Passes.
