The Bobcats

The Ohio Bobcats football program is one of the oldest and most storied in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Bobcats have been playing football since 1894, and they have won five MAC championships (1953, 1960, 1963, 1967, and 1968). Ohio has also played in 13 bowl games, most recently the 2022 DXL Frisco Bowl.

The Bobcats' early years were marked by success. The team won its first conference championship in 1929, and it went on to win five more conference titles in the next 10 years. Ohio was a dominant force in the MAC during this era, and it was known for its strong running game.
