One to Remember- 1994 The Drive, PSU vs. Illinois
An epic Big Ten battle occurred on November 12, 1994, when No. 2 Penn State visited Illinois. In what may rank as Penn State's greatest comeback in its gridiron history, the Nittany Lions clawed their way back into the game after they found themselves in a 21-0 first-quarter deficit on the road. Quarterback Kerry Collins was 7-for-7 on a 96-yard winning drive punctuated by Brian Milne's 2-yard TD run with 57 seconds left. The victory clinched Penn State's first Big Ten Championship. Final Score: Penn State 35, Illinois 31. ESPN in 2019 ranked it as the 141st Greatest College Game ever.
