Born on May 24, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, Clinton Jones burst onto the college football scene as a dynamic halfback for the Michigan State Spartans from 1964 to 1966. A two-time First Team All-American (1965, 1966), Jones was a pivotal player during a golden era for the Spartans, finishing sixth in the 1966 Heisman Trophy voting.
