The Tight End Great and Wife Support the Youth of America

Classic Class acts celebrates players, coaches and anyone else involved in any level of football in the past that has done a great deed in promoting others for the good of humanity. This edition is no different as we bring to the forefront another awesome Classic Act.

Tony Gonzalez and his wife October, the former co-host of the Beat Shazam TV game show, have been involved with an organization called Scholars' Hope Foundation as (https://www.scholarshope.org/) as Ambassadors of the program.

Per the Scholars’ Hope Foundation website the organization, it was founded in 1997 as  “El Viento” ( Spanish for the wind) and has evolved over time into a very successful college access program.

The site posts, “ Through our program, the lives of youth in low-income communities are transformed through a long-term commitment resulting in 100% of our students reaching higher education.

The academic journey of our scholars and their families begins in the 5th grade and is guided through high school and college.

Our commitment to our mission is built around the belief that all students, regardless of their background, can succeed if given time and support.  We foster the confidence and skills necessary for success in college and the workplace.

Our scholars have big dreams! These dreams have the power to guide and encourage students to explore a variety of possibilities.”

If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause that Tony and October represent we invite you to visit the foundation’s website at https://www.scholarshope.org/.

The Gonzalez duo has done a great thing to promote such a worthy cause and are indeed Class Acts and well deserving of the credit for helping others less fortunate. We at PigskinDispatch.com salute them for their humanitarian efforts and giving back to the community.
