The Illinois Illini had some brilliant and very powerful teams during Coach Zuppke's time on the sidelines. Just think about the seasons that he had Red Grange in the backfield. The talent of players takes a team so far, but a good coach with some fire in his belly and some inspirational words takes the squad up another notch.
