Born on July 31, 1974, in Washington, D.C., Jonathan Ogden established himself as one of the premier offensive tackles in football history.

Ogden was a four-year starter at offensive tackle for the UCLA Bruins from 1992 to 1995. He earned Freshman All-American honors in 1992 and continued to excel, becoming a unanimous All-American in his senior year. In 1995, he received the Outland Trophy, recognizing him as the nation's top interior lineman, and the Morris Trophy as the Pac-10's best offensive lineman. Ogden's dominance helped UCLA achieve its highest rushing average since 1967. His No. 79 jersey was later retired by UCLA, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2012. Notably, Ogden was also a talented track and field athlete at UCLA, winning the 1996 NCAA indoor title in the shot put.

Ogden's exceptional college career made him a highly sought-after prospect in the 1996 NFL Draft. The Baltimore Ravens, a new franchise at the time, selected him as their first-ever draft pick, taking him fourth overall in the first round. Jonathan Ogden spent his entire 12-season NFL career (1996-2007) with the Baltimore Ravens, becoming a cornerstone of their offensive line. He was the first player who spent his entire career as a Raven to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013. In the NFL, he was an 11-time Pro Bowl selection (1997-2007) and a four-time First-team All-Pro (1997, 2000, 2002, 2003). He was also named to the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. Ogden started 176 of his 177 career games and helped pave the way for running back Jamal Lewis's record-breaking 2003 season. He was inducted into the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor in 2008 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
