College Career:
Reggie Wayne attended the University of Miami from 1997 to 2000, where he was a four-year starter for the Hurricanes. He set a school record with 173 career receptions, including a streak of 36 consecutive games with a catch. Wayne is one of only five wide receivers in school history to record 20 or more career touchdowns. As a freshman in 1997, he was named Big East Rookie of the Year and a Second-team All-Big East selection, setting a school freshman record with 48 receptions for 640 yards. He led the team in receptions in both 1997 and 1998. By the end of his college career, Wayne was second in career receiving yards (2,510) and tied for third in career touchdowns (20) at Miami.
Road to the Pro Game:
Wayne was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round (30th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft. He spent the majority of his career with the Colts (2001-2014), briefly signing with the New England Patriots during the 2015 offseason but was later released.

Reggie Wayne is considered one of the most consistent and reliable wide receivers in NFL history. Spending 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, he played in a franchise-record 211 games and ranks second in team history in receptions (1,070), receiving yards (14,345), and receiving touchdowns (82). Wayne holds the Colts' record for consecutive games with a reception (205) and his eight 1,000-yard receiving seasons are tied for the most in franchise history. He was a crucial part of the Colts' Super Bowl XLI victory. Wayne's precise route running and dependable hands made him a favorite target of quarterback Peyton Manning, and he consistently performed at a high level throughout his career, earning him induction into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor in 2018.
