College Career

Tom Woodeshick played running back for the West Virginia Mountaineers from 1960 to 1962. A three-year letterman, his senior season in 1962 saw him rush for 433 yards and two touchdowns, adding 141 receiving yards and a score. For his Mountaineer career, Woodeshick totaled 876 rushing yards and four touchdowns, also contributing in the receiving and kick return games. He was selected to play in the 1963 Senior Bowl, showcasing his talents to professional scouts.

Woodeshick's solid collegiate career paved the way for his entry into the professional ranks. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 1963 NFL Draft. This marked the beginning of a long and productive career in the NFL.
