Charles Woodson enjoyed a storied 18-season NFL career, primarily with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers. Drafted fourth overall by the Raiders in 1998, he immediately made an impact, earning AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors with five interceptions. He spent his first eight seasons with Oakland, becoming a Pro Bowl regular and making a Super Bowl appearance.
In 2006, Woodson joined the Green Bay Packers, where his career experienced a remarkable resurgence. He transitioned into a versatile safety role and had arguably his most dominant season in 2009, being named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year with nine interceptions and three pick-sixes. He was a cornerstone of the Packers' defense that won Super Bowl XLV in the 2010 season.
Woodson returned to the Raiders for his final three seasons (2013-2015), continuing to play at a high level and earning another Pro Bowl selection. Throughout his career, he amassed 65 interceptions (tied for fifth all-time), 20 sacks, and an NFL-record 13 defensive touchdowns (tied for first). He is also the first player in NFL history to record 50 interceptions and 20 sacks. A nine-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-Team All-Pro, Charles Woodson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
