Ben Kish was a professional American football player who played in the NFL during the 1940s. Kish played for both the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Philadelphia Eagles throughout his career. He was a versatile player, contributing both as a safety and in the backfield as a fullback.
Kish's career washighlighted by his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was a key member of their championship-winning teams in 1948 and 1949. His contributions on both offense and defense helped solidify the Eagles' success during this period. Like many players of his era, Kish's career was impacted by World War II; during that time, he was part of the "Steagles," a temporary merger between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
