"The 2015 NFL Draft"

Last updated 📅 2025-04-30
The 2015 NFL Draft, held from April 30 to May 2, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois, was a significant event in professional football, marked by high expectations and, in some cases, unfulfilled potential. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, holding the first overall pick, selected quarterback Jameis Winston from Florida State University. Winston, a Heisman Trophy winner, entered the league with considerable fanfare, but his NFL career has been marked by both flashes of brilliance and off-field issues, leading to a somewhat nomadic career.
The 2015 NFL Draft produced talents like Cooper & Scherff, but also saw Winston & Mariota struggle, with Gurley's peak cut short by injury. Hall of Fame potential remains uncertain. ✦ 2015 NFL Draft Top Ten Selections Pick    Tm    Player    Pos    College/Univ                1    TAM    Jameis Winston    QB    Florida St.2    TEN    Marcus Mariota    QB    Oregon3    JAX    Dante Fowler    OLB    Florida4    OAK    Amari Cooper    WR    Alabama5    WAS    Brandon Scherff    T    Iowa6    NYJ    Leonard Williams    DE    USC7    CHI    Kevin White    WR    West Virginia8    ATL    Vic Beasley    OLB    Clemson9    NYG    Ereck Flowers    T    Miami (FL)10    STL    Todd Gurley    RB    Georgia ✦ How the 2015 NFL Draft Played Out The Tennessee Titans followed suit, selecting another quarterback, Marcus Mariota from the University of Oregon, with the second overall pick...
