College Career

He played as an end and was known for his speed, tackling ability, and knack for making crucial plays. Notably, he teamed up with quarterback Charles Barrett to form a potent passing combination. In 1915, Shelton played a key role in Cornell's undefeated 9-0 season, which was capped by a 10-0 victory over Harvard.
