Bill Warner
Born January 24, 1881, in Springville, New York, was Bill Warner a College Football Hall of Fame coach and very good player. Warner graduated from Cornell University in 1903 and played on the football teanm from 1899 to 1902. Warner was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
Warner was the brother of famed football coach Pop Warner. In 1902, Bill and Glenn both played pro football for the Syracuse Athletic Club during the first World Series of Football, held at Madison Square Garden.
As a coach at Cornell, Sherman Institute, North Carolina, Colgate, St Louis University, and Oregon Bill Warner coached teams had an over all record of Head coaching Overall record of 28–20–5.
