Paper Football League

The Head Flickers of the Paper Football League Glen Patrick and Pam Brant joins us to tell all about the PFL, taking paper football to an official new era, with new rules, game boards and weighted paper footballs coming to a Paper Football League near you!

Paper Football is back and better and ever!

Glen Patrick and Pam Brant pose with their PFL products and game board.

Paper Football League founders Glen Patrick and Pam Brant, residents of Indiana who had a problem to resolve. Glen was worried that his visiting grandchildren were spending too much screen time on electronic devices and wanted them to have more face-to-face social time with family and friends. What started as a spontaneous activity with the kiddos turned into a revolution of a classic activity. Thoughts, ideas, and much development went into what Glen and Pam would call the Paper Football League. They recently received a patent for our Paper Football Game, which is nothing like the world has ever played!

The PFL tells us, "The greatest thing about this game is the face-to-face social connection with quality time communication combined with the fun of healthy low-impact competition that equates to an enthusiastic environment without athletic conditioning. The second best aspect is our 12-minute game is segmented into four 3-minute quarters to accommodate the quick break or limited availability of a hectic schedule."

Innovations of the PFL

Okay, we are clued in that there is now a timing element to the game, that speeds up play but the PFL has also introduced more innovations:

- An official, pigskin patterned, sized and weighted football.

-An official playing table, complete with sturdy metal uprights. (no more thumb to thumb goal posts!)

-Real gridiron concepts of 4 downs, field goals, and even kick-offs.

-Official rules, officials, organized leagues and tournaments.

Relative History of Paper football

Here is some more information from a post we did awhile back before we met Glen and Pam on the history of paper flick football. They now add to this history with their own story.
